Flying over the bayIf you know me, you know that I like adventure and trying new things. Well, this weekend I tried flying! I heard about California Airways through a friend who took the Introductory Flight. After I listened to them rave I went online and scheduled a lesson.
We flew in the Cessna 152, a 2-passenger plane – look how tiny it is!
You start out with 30 minutes on a flight simulator where an instructor tells you about the important controls you need to pay attention to. Then you get to fly for 40 minutes over the San Francisco Bay Area. They let you take off, fly, and land the plane! Of course, there is a certified flight instructor present with controls in case anything goes wrong.
Here is a photo I took of the Bay Bridge and downtown San Francisco. We were lucky to have such a beautiful day for flying.
And no picture of the Golden Gate Bridge would be accurate without the hovering fog.
The flight was a whole new way to see the Bay Area and would recommend it to anyone who isn’t afraid of a bumpy ride
